BEEF SHORT RIBS

Makes 6 servings
4 lbs. beef short ribs
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. fresh black pepper
3 Tbsp. cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
8 ounces tomato sauce
3/4 cup tomato juice
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1. Cut the beef short
ribs into 3 x 2 inch pieces.
2. Place the ribs on rack in
broiler pan so surface of ribs are 3 to 4 inches from heat. Broil
them for about 20 minutes or until well-browned, turning as needed.
Place the ribs into a Dutch oven.
3. Heat the oven to 350 degrees
4. Add the remaining ingredients
into the Dutch oven then bring to a boil.
5. Cover the Dutch oven tightly
and cook for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until the ribs are fork-tender.
