2 pounds lean ground
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup V8 juice
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/8 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon basil
1/4 cup chopped onion
1. Preheat oven to 350°
2. Meanwhile, in a large mixing
bowl, mix lightly together the ground beef with the V8 juice,
oatmeal, egg, chopped onion, salt and pepper.
3. When thoroughly mixed, place
the beef meat mixture into a 8 inch by 4 inch loaf pan.
4. Place filled loaf pan in oven
and bake for 1 hour, or until meat is no longer pink and juices
5. Let the cooked meatloaf stand
for 5 minutes before serving.
